August 22.  "The Blessing of Scripture" talk by Elder D. Todd Christofferson was llead by Nicole S.

Brother Christofferson began his talk with a discussion of the sacrifice that William Tyndale and other had give to bring the Scriptures to the common man.

How are we using our scriptures?  It doesn't really matter how or when you study your scriptures, but it does matter that you should study them on a regular basis.  One sister said that she was going through and reading the verses that were the same has her birthday.  (ie  June 6   Chapter 6 verse 6) and that she had found some interesting passages that she incorporated into her daily life.  You might use the Topical guide to study a particular subject. 

"The scriptures enlarge our memory by helping us always to remember the Lord and our relationship to Him and the Father."
"God uses scripture to unmask erroeous thinking, false traditions, and sin with its devestating effects."
"In the end, the central purpose of all scriptures is to fill our souls with faith in God the Father and in His So, Jesus Christ--faith that They exist; faith in the Father's plan for our immortaity and eternal life; faith in the Atonement and rResurrection of Jesus Christ, which animates this plan of happiness; faith to make the gospel of Jesus Christ our way of life; and faith to come ot know "the only trud God, and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent."
