MEMORIAL DAY

Unfortunately, through the years, the reason to celebrate Memorial Day has been clouded by the fact that it is the first long weekend of the Summer.  The first camping trip of the season, the first BBQ in the back yard.

Let us remember the sacrifice given by many men and women through the years to preserve our freedom.  Theirs may not have been the ulimate sacrifice, but they were out there serving their country and preserving our ability to live the life we do.

Visit the Fairmount Cemetery if you want to really be moved by the Avenue of American Flags.

Next time you see a member of the Armed Forces tell him "Thank You" or if you know a Vet, let him know you care and appreciate his sacrifice.

ENJOY the holiday, but remember the reason for it.

The Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Medical Lake is having a big celebration on Monday. I believe it's at 10 am.
